Google Chromecast Academy Awards Email

Awards season is as much about the experience as the winners and Chromecast wanted to be part of the celebration. As Lead Writer, I developed a series of newsletter concepts that showed users how to get in the Oscars spirit with the help of Chromecast, YouTube, and Google Play Music.

Each creative pathway tapped into a different angle: spotlighting breakout YouTube talent like Issa Rae (Awkward Black Girl turned Golden Globe nominee), curating film nights with classics like Interstellar, and even inviting fans to tap dance like the stars of La La Land.

By aligning Chromecast with one of TV’s most exciting evenings, the campaign highlighted its value beyond simple streaming, positioning it as the go-to tool for movie nights, cultural moments, and making the big screen feel even bigger.
