Google "Playground on Ice" Campaign

During the busy holiday season, engagement in the Google Retail Training program often dipped just when associates needed motivation the most. To re-energize the community, I created the “Playground on Ice” campaign, a printable holiday kit designed to bring Google hardware to life in a new way.

Accessible through the internal training platform, Tribe, the kit invited store ambassadors to print, fold, and arrange paper figures into a festive winter wonderland. To make it even more interactive, they could drop in Google Playground AR characters and film a short video for the chance to win a prize.

What started as a simple idea to boost morale quickly became a shareable, gamified experience that turned seasonal training into something associates genuinely looked forward to. By sparking creativity and encouraging hands-on play, the campaign not only lifted engagement but also built excitement around Google’s hardware during its most critical sales period.
